Category Manager
The Category Manager is responsible for driving growth and is a key contributor to the development of strategic business planning based on a deep understanding of the consumer, shopper and market insights.
In collaboration with the Group Manager, she/he will develop marketing plans, lead brand & portfolio strategy, develop relevant communication cross touchpoint, work on product renovation & innovation.
She/ He will be the owner of its category & corresponding brands on all aspects, brand management, ATL & BTL communication, Research, Panel data analysis etc, partnering with internal and external teams to ensure its success.
Main responsibilities
- Data decoding: Frame business questions and turn unstructured data into insights.
- Category planning: Turning business objectives into brand plans & action standards, map out strategies & tactics covering short term business dynamics.
- Excellence in execution: Ensure contribution of different internal & external stakeholders.
- Renovation & Innovation planning: Translate people-centric insight into concepts with development and implementation plans
- Brand building: assess & shape equity growth levers to drive brand leadership trough a superior consumer journey
- Project management: Lead brand plans implementation trough standard processes.
- Partners Management: Lead, Engage & inspire partners such as: creative, media, digital, research & activations agencies.
- Performance review: set clear KPIs for different activities, measure success & learning to drive a culture of performance & best practices.
- Team Management: Ensure the development and coaching of an assistant brand manager
- Budget management: monthly follow up & reconciliation with finance
- Best practice: Implement & share best practices internally & externally
Qualifications
- 5 -7 years of experience in brand management, brand marketing, or marketing management
- Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Solid business acumen with interpersonal leadership skills to motivate & inspire cross functional team
- Service-minded, and a problem-solver
- Self-starter, analytical and a strategic thinker
- Strong communication & storytelling skills
- Proactive with solid understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Fluent in Arabic & French, English professional proficiency
- Computer literacy: Pack office with a good level of Excel & Power Point
