Job Summary:

Supervising, organizing, leading and controlling Engineering Function activities while ensuring the compliance with set quality and safety standards, as well as ensuring developing systems and procedures related to Engineering such as energy efficient systems.

Delivering projects with excellence and leading improvements inside the site.

Developing site master plan and ensuring site integrity and effectiveness, as well as ensuring availability of Business Continuity Plan for the site and readiness

Activities, Duties & Responsibilities:

Technical & Executive

Supervising and leading Engineering function to effectively engineer and procure necessary equipment and facilities

Ensuring that planned budget aligns with projects requirements, forecasting potential needs and demands of all projects and ensuring that the resources are available and released as anticipated

Ensuring engineering function activities are carried out in timely manner and in compliance with set safety standards

Approving engineering function plans, projects and overall budgets

Establishing and developing energy efficient systems in order to reduce operating costs

Leading contractors/ subcontractors negotiations and following up on their work

Ensuring site integrity, effectiveness and reliability

Participating effectively in new product development and recommend new machine selection

Leading machine standardization within the site

Leading capital management effort for Hikma ALGERIA and maintain assets in the books

Ensuring projects are executed as per Hikma SOPs while meeting URS requirements and at optimum cost

Leading BCP effort inside the site and conduct required tests to ensure readiness

Leading, developing and supervising Technical safety efforts inside the site

Implementing local and international standards in executing projects, machine selection, cGMP, Technical safety, buildingsetc.

Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor

Administrative:

Preparing periodic reports regarding Engineering functions activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor

Disseminating instructions, circulars and information, in addition to issuing administrative, organizational and technical decisions necessary to fulfill endorsed plans and executive programs

Specifying manpower requirements according to the applied recruitment and selection and manpower planning practices

Recommending appropriate training courses as per the pre determined training needs, evaluating their effectiveness, and monitoring their results on the corporate and employees performance

Following-up on subordinates' administrative affairs such as: vacations, leavesetc.

Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arise

Education :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent

5 years of experience in a related position

Experience in a pharmaceutical industry
